This show, taped for MTV, finds Dylan turning in an 11-song set, with eight of the songs dating from his 1963-1967 heyday, including such standards as "The Times They Are A-Changin'" and "Like a Rolling Stone. "John Brown," a powerful antiwar song from 1963, had not been released on a Dylan album previously.

Dignity (MTV Unplugged). Fat man lookin' in a blade of steel Thin man lookin' at his last meal Hollow man lookin' in a cottonfield For dignity. Wise man lookin' in a blade of grass Young man lookin' in the shadows that pass Poor man lookin' through painted glass For dignity. Blind man breakin' out of a trance Puts both his hands in the pockets of chance Hopin' to find one circumstance Of dignity. I went to the wedding of Mary-lou She said ÒI don't want nobody see me talkin' to you?BR Said she could get killed if she told me what she knew About dignity. I went down where the vultures feed I would've got deeper, but there wasn't any need Heard the tongues of angels and the tongues of men Wasn't any difference to me.

This great live album closes with "With God On Our Side" which sounds like country gospel and so much better than Bob's original from 1964! I understand there are several other songs Bob did that night such as "Absolutely Sweet Marie", "Don't Think Twice", and "Hazel" - they actually showed his performance of "I Want You" on the PBS broadcast!
