Everything that you've ever known will go up in flames Tell me, are you nervous? And the sky will fall down on you and the world still turns around, round, round And the sky will fall down on you as your life goes on down, down, down. Everything that you've ever done will come back to haunt you Tell me, are you nervous? Now you know that it is for sure How are you taking it? Do you deserve this?
As soon as the album starts off with "Paralyze" the first single off the album you know your in for a quite monumental album. By the time you get to the dance mania track that is "Life Is A Bitch" you will have forgotten nor would you want to remember this band hasn't gotten the fan base it should. It were as if The Cure were born in the '80s heared their own music and based a new genre off of it. It's the next step in the Electro-Rock genre. Which I have dubbed electrock. Lyrics - 8 I was pretty well impressed with the lyrics in this album.
Rock Kills Kid is a California grown rock band revolving around front-man Jeff Tucker. Tucker began Rock Kills Kid in the latter of the 90’s with bassist Kirk Huffman and drummer Chris Poulson. The band recorded a self-titled demo and landed a record deal with Fearless Records in the year 2000. By 2003, the band had completely changed. The new lineup includes bassist Shawn Dailey, keyboardist Reed Calhoun, drummer Ian Hendrickson, and guitarist Sean Stopnik. The album was released in May of 2006. Tracks: 1. Paralyzed (3:04) – Starts out kind of slow with the lone guitar riff and then you hear. 4. Are You Nervous" (3:15) – Title track of the album. Probably the best lyrical song on the album. Not much use of interludes or instrument alone sections, but the entire song is basically lyrics.
Rock Kills Kid is just another of the myriad of bands who listened to way too many Duran Duran records, and thought that style would stand up now in 2006. No, no it does not. Had I been old enough to listen to music in 1986, I probably wouldn't have liked it then either. The guitars sound straight out of a Cure record, and the overall feeling taken from the album is one of sorrow, a motif they are clearly trying to portray. So in that right, they're successful. The music sounds crisp and the harmonies enjoyable, on the non-dance oriented tracks, anyhow. Unfortunately for all involved, the majority of songs are those geared towards dance, and while the atmosphere still does fit the style, the style still sucks.
Tell me, are you nervous? Now you know that it is for sure. How are you taking it? Do you deserve this? And the sky will fall down on you and the world still turns around, round, round. Fuck this band my friend wrote all the guitar for every song in the are you nervous album exept raise ur hands and run like hell and they stole it no joke.
