It only takes listening to one album, make that a few songs, to quickly realize the romanticized and personified pathos that Matsson has for nature and natural tones in his music. It's no surprise that his latest single is called "Rivers", one, because he lives by a river, and two, "river" might be one of the most commonly used images in his artfully abstract and bucolic lyrics (.
Lyrics to "Rivers" song by The Tallest Man On Earth: So there's longing in the shoulders now There was a wildness in that time Can't we now say Oh sweet. This is the fire of leaving pains When the love is gone, but the need remains Into the shivering cold of day When the house is gone, but the street remain Oh I guess it's true I guess these rivers never knew. And I'll sing of seasons til you turn me off I see the way of letting go They'll be the same And whatever changes These changes I know. This is the fire of leaving pains When we're not that strong and the need remains Into the shivering lights of day When the house is gone, but the fields remain Oh I guess it's true I guess these rivers never knew.
I Love You. It's A Fever Dream . I’m biased, but I think it looks and sounds great (read: sexy).

Day Driving Introspection Loss/Grief Reflection Sunday Afternoon. The Tallest Man on Earth. This five-song EP is as simple as can be - one man with an acoustic guitar, strumming and finger-picking in the rural blues style while he sings with a strong, slightly rough-edged voice, all recorded on what sounds like a slightly wobbly tape machine.
