The album was produced by Bernard Edwards and Nile Rodgers of the band Chic, and was the project directly following the band's successful self-titled debut album Chic, which featured Wright on vocals.

One of metal’s finest acts, Norma Jean are in the studio to begin work on their first album in two years. We start the first writing session in ONE WEEK. 19, where they announced that they are currently in the studio working on their eighth studio album. The band’s next effort will be a follow-up to their 2016 album, Polar Similar. There’s not much to report on in regards to the band’s newest album, but we’re beyond excited to see the guys working on our first taste of music since 2016.
