Hate (Sarcófago album). 1994 studio album by Sarcófago. Hate is also notable for its controversial use of a drum machine. At the time Sarcófago were attempting to become the fastest band in the world, and there were no drummers in their native Brazil who could play at the required speeds.
In 1994, Sarcofago released Hate, an album infamous for its use of a drum machine, implemented in the effort to be faster than their contemporaries. In addition, the album's approach to songwriting is simpler when compared to their other releases. The pursuit of speed is sometimes reached here, but, more often than not, the mechanical percussion outpaces the other musicians, creating a jarring tempo and pace.

The Worst is the fourth and final studio album by the Brazilian extreme metal band Sarcófago. Wagner Lamounier and Gerald Minelli view this record as a "summation" of the band's career. The Worst is notable for not only having a more death metal-oriented sound than the band's earlier works, but also containing traces of the then popular genre of groove metal. The music is also slower than that on the band's previous album Hate and features a more prominent use of programmed drums.
