Icecream Hands was formed by Charles Jenkins (Chuck Skatt) and Dominic Larizza (Dom Benedictine) after the Mad Turks had broken up. Derek Smiley had been managing the Mad Turks at the end and he was asked to be drummer for the band. The initial bass player was Dom’s brother Arch Larizza who stayed on for the first year. The initial EP had the band named as Ice Cream Hands. After that, they eliminated a space and were named Icecream Hands, although some compilations used the incorrect spelling
