Two rows of black plastic keys are in front, a metal bar is on the left, three registers are above the keyboard, and a rod with sliding decimal markers is above the result and revolution registers. One may enter numbers up to nine digits long, record up to eight digits in the revolution register, and computer results of up to 13 digits. The machine has an electric cord.

The Calculating Machine. The earliest calculating machine in history. This machine was capable of executing all four basic arithmetical operations: addition and subtraction it could perform purely mechanically, while multiplication and division required as well several interventions by the operator between entering the numbers and reading off the result. This era was to crown two thousand years of evolution in mechanical technique, and to mark the final break with the long age of ignorance, superstition and mysticism which above all had stopped the human race from contemplating that certain mental operations could be consigned to material structures.
Fourth is the fourth studio album by the rock band Soft Machine, released in 1971. The album is also titled Four or 4 in the USA. The numeral "4" is the title as shown on the cover in all countries, but a written-out title appears on the spine and label
In 1902 he invented a mechanical calculating machine and a patent was granted to him in 1903. This machine was a kind of hybrid between the pinwheel type and the Soroban. In 1902 he incorporated the company YAZU JIDO SOROBAN ( Yazu Automatic Soroban) in Tokyo. The machine was named Patented Yazu Arithmometer, and 200 units were manufactured. However he dropped the project when he decided to build an airplane with an equipped engine. He invested all his money in this project.
