The Circle & the Square is the debut album by British pop group Red Box, released in 1986. The album contains the group's two UK top ten hits, "Lean on Me" and "For America". Red Box came to the attention of the world with their debut single 'Chenko' on Cherry Red Records in 1983. The band soon signed WEA Records and hit the upper reaches of the charts with their second single 'Lean On Me'. The band enjoyed further single chart success and released two albums. This reissue features four of the band's best known singles including their two Top 10 hits ('Lean On Me' and 'For America'). Artist: Red Box Title: The Circle & The Square Format: (Vinyl, LP, Album). Seems to be lots of filler though with album tracks not quite having the same impact they did all those years ago. The key singels are superb and, if you like them, hunt out the YouTube videos for the band who seems to have a number of relatively new videos out there where they perform the songs live.
