The sampled piece of jazz pop the kicks off "Knifflige Fragen," the opening track of Air Liquide's SONIC WEATHER MACHINE, quickly loops into a fuzzy piece of funk. They have, for the most part, left behind their ambient side in favor of more straight-up techno, as on "Live In New York City, 1994 Part 3," though the atmospheric elements still remain. Static and fuzzy transmissions fill in the groove of "Timecode #1," while "After Dark" is much more clean and sharp. "Masse Zu Energie" slows things down for a dub drawl, while "MP3" gets twitchy in the same way that "Breaking The Surface Barrier" and "Live In New York City, 1994 Part 4" go more minimalist. "Psychocandies II" is plenty dense, though, and "Moses And Monotheism" blends the dub and the acid into a nice potpourri with a thick bass. "Araras," however, closes the album back on an creepy ambient tip, a crackling, crispy track punctuated with a filtered German spoken sample. You don't need a weatherman to see the way this weather is going!

This blue wax version hasn't aged well. Infact it sounds like complete shit. I'd advise against buying this version.
