I got my copy, excellent!!! Sounds fully clear and perfectly balanced! A great press! I was waiting for it long time!

Ordered from Amazon 1/2019. Dead flat and ran it through the spin clean to clear off any residue or sleeve dust. I'm pretty impressed with the way it sounds. I know the CD backwards and forwards. I noticed lots of buried tracks float to the top of the mix - background vocals, guitar overdubs, the 'woo...hey' vocal loop in 'Mother'...Most of the LP is very dynamic. A few songs with a lot going on do suffer from a lack of space on the LP, unfortunately 'I hope I didn't just...' is one of them. Over all I'm happy with it. The album lends itself well to having sides. I mean how long have we been waiting to hear these songs on vinyl?!

On another board someone said his copy of this gold vinyl edition was warped. I asked one of the vendors here to check his copy & he said it too was warped. Now there's a review here that says his copy was also warped. WTF? Was the whole batch of 500 warped? I wanted to get the colored vinyl but may have to settle for the regular black vinyl pressing. At least it was made in Germany , meaning the sound quality should be better?

I just picked this up - pressing is slightly warped but playing well - will have to put in the Vinyl Flat unfortunately. Not much surface noise after a quick brush only. After I get it flat I will run it through the VPI which should help addiitonaly. SQ is very good. I haven't done an A-B comparison to the CD but it's very crisp and punchy where it needs to be and at least as good as I remember. If you play this on a half decent system you should get pretty good results. Very pleased with this overall.
Anararius
is your copy the black or gold vinyl? Thanks.
Malhala
You can tell this was a rush job on UME's part, because the lyric artwork on the inside of the gatefold is completely upside down.Do these vinyl cash-in corporate dummies have absolutely zero quality assurance personnel, or what?
Dodo
Did you get the LP? is your copy the black or gold vinyl? Thanks.
Yar
I think the upside down printed lyrics are intentional. The original booklet that came with the CD also had upside down lyrics, check the scans on this site.
Buge
Was intended to be upside down, Just as the CD artwork. My copy sounds superb!
Fenrikree
i still don't have it on vinyl, but i do remember clearly that the cd booklet that i have since like 98 it's pretty much like this...upside down.
Agantrius
There is some surface noise on my pressing that is mildly irritating, but nothing to lose one's mind over. I'm just glad this is finally on vinyl. Hopefully the upside-down lyric art inside my jacket is a one-time error, but I doubt it. UMe are notorious for their slapdash vinyl pressings. If you can find this 90's classic for $25 or less, it's worth owning.
Malojurus
That's a shame. What do you think of the sound and pressing quality?
