Excellent, excellent sound quality on the reissue. I love typography but can forgive the inaccuracies. Ace reissue.
Hi everyone,I am wondering if this record is 33 1/3 RPM (wich I am guessing it is) or 45 RPM?Thank you in advance
I have a sealed version of this (I think/hope). Is there any way of identifying if you have the yellow ltd. without opening the seal?
yes. Just check if the innersleeves are green. green = yellow vinyl.
Again a beautifully clean record from this label !!! bla di bla bla
as you might notice from my other reviews i have a bee in the bonnet about fonts on reissues. ;) since the sleeve design was recreated and not just reprinted clone guys didn't quite nail it with the font, it is similar but not the same (the original one bears closer resemblance to computerworld font). keep that in mind before buying you poor typography perfectionists.
yes because typography totally decreases the quality of this music...
I own the original CD release for this, is there anything in the remastering job to make it worth picking this version up?
Get the beautiful yellow Clone reissue, screw the overpriced originals on here
Long awaited repress! Sounds great and packaging is solid. Fantastic record.
I have 2 A side labels on disc one, has anyone else?
Slightly different. My disc one is labeled the wrong way.
Drop Clone an email, they are good at sending free replacements. I had similar issue with another record from them.
Beautiful release and well worth the extra €5 for the limited yellow vinyl (if you got it in time). Keep all the Warp releases you greedy sellers! Vinyl sounds great too!
50€ couple days after being issued. Soon sellers probably gonna keep their Clone releases as well ; )
I think there was an initial press of 250 on yellow vinyl. Due to high demand another 100 were pressed. If Clone could confirm? Anyway about the debate who produced this. A2 & D2 sound like Ultradyne to me but no doubt the main contributor is Gerald Donald as it sounds like his Japanese Telecom project.
Got my new ltd edition vinyl from Cyclone today! Limited yellow vinyl!!! Yum yum!
Any ideas on the official release date ? It’s past the 6th of December now.
The deluxe edition is back in stock at Clone, probably not for long though!
The official release date is today, 10th of December:'m gonna update the database
guess this is one of the best Album of Stinson and Donald :)
Rumor has it that Elecktroids was made up of more than just Stinson and Donald, describing them as '4 sons of an electrician' indicating that the Ultradyne duo might have been involved.
w00t! first glimpse of the ltd edition ????
Wow! Can't wait for mine to arrive! Will ship on Dec, 7th.
now available on clone for preorder! :) what a gem, never wanna miss that masterpiece
Worth it just for "Japanese Electronics" and "Silicon Valley". Get this re-issue !
Kamuro order ! At least now you know ! lol

So far, release date is not announced yet.Proof link:[0]=68.ARCOdy5z0t126GGNVOB7R8yc3EKCU94s3XcbbnfiCMebjYpThvqVycEImYdSovIQEvkct86vQPYWMCUsa_4GABs6hMay7fh95MZ-LHr8Bd5BZda4S8TidK2cBoQq0uXfSBHYpMUjSsWG51gpW4dboksK4hn4sRwoHs0Uk-H64ypsH-MD9OeCePMLQy7HtYQZOo6ebXDXUoc&__tn__=-R

Seriously? How do you know this? 1 2 3
PearOfSalamanca. What are you talking about? Warp represses their catalog regularly.
Stellaremnant is apparently an independent record label. I doubt it has the rights to repress, and I strongly advise against them doing so if they do not have permission. It'll end up like the Keep Tapes Alive repress: ineligible for sale on this website. That will harm them in the long run. It'll be Psychonavigation Records reissuing Pete Namlook all over again.
if you are lying i will find out where you live, come to your house and cry at your doorstep
Where did you read this? Do you have more info ?
Really? 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9
The time has come, the Walrus start an actual petition instead of saying we will. Here it is, folks, have at it:'re welcome. Now share, so we can get this thing noticed by the purple aliens from London themselves! That was a compliment, by the way, not an insult.
Probably the best album ever created fucking period. Perpetual Motion is one of the best Drexciya tracks
Hey Warp!Time to repress, please. 3668 people on Discogs want this record.Should we create a petition like on "The Other People Place ‎– Lifestyles Of The Laptop Café".

One of those records I saw in the store when it came out and decided on the day to buy something else (that I have since seen I million times in second hand stores) Damn it!
Global Progression
anybody selling a copy?
Numanoid: sorry! You're missing out if you don't get it. All-time elektro classik right here.
I find this album anemic and bleak, to put it plainly: dull. Since I first purchased it back in '97 I've tried to get into it, but it has never grown on me, I'm put off by the rather lackluster grooves and irritating repeated vocal loops like "I got a stun gun, I got a stun gun, I got a stun gun etc" and "Japanese Elecktronics. When I bought it I thought I was getting something akin to Kraftwerk's Computer World (seeing the inspired artwork), but this album is far from being in that league.
I'll take it off your hands if you don't want it.
for me it went exactly opposite: when i was able to buy it at a discount i didn't because i thought it was too much of a kraftwerk rip-off. Later i kicked myself because i found out how good the album really was. I had to get it later, at inflated prices off course :(
It’s tempting to call The Elecktroid’s only album, ELEKTROWORLD, classic, but if the term fits, why not? From the first chugs of “Future Tone,” the Drexciyan attitude comes through loud and clear. A smoothness permeates the album from the sweet melodics of “Perpetual Motion” to the more beat-driven “Japanese Electronics.” Some disembodied vocal samples bubble up in “Check Mate,” and “Mystery World” has the requisite amount of mystery, but the Kraftwerkian futurism never wanes. “Thermo Science” and “Stun Gun” thrive on chunky synths, and “Floatation” goes sparse. It’s a world I still love to visit.
Excellent release more branched towards japanese telecom and der zyklus, but not as minimal and edged as dopplereffekt. Moody in some places and very very funky in others. Definately worth getting. Btw: The drexciya bonus track is "Triangular Hydrogen Strain" (trk 15 on the nept lair cd) and not "Oxyplasmic Gyration Beam" (trk 16). The mess up is due to the fact that the nept' lair cd cover doesn't count the intro as a track in itself, and hence trk 1 listed on the cover is visible as trk 2 on the cd display etc...
I have a post-1999 pressing of the CD (in addition to the vinyl) and it contains a "hidden bonus track". And by whom? Guess what? Yes, it's Drexciya. The track is "Oxyplasmic Gyration Beam" from "Neptune's Lair". That solves a lot of mysterious rumours right? They had been going on since 1996... Anyway, some months go the connection was officially confirmed, so the topic is old hat as of now. Just thought that the idea with this CD was a nice hint. Wavejumpers know how to leave traces...
