Paranoid is the second studio album by the English rock band Black Sabbath. Released in September 1970, it was the band's only LP to top the UK Albums Chart until the release of 13 in 2013. Paranoid contains several of the band's signature songs, including "Iron Man", "War Pigs" and the title track, which was the band's only Top 20 hit, reaching number 4 in the UK charts. It is often cited as an influential album in the development of heavy metal music.

Black Sabbath manage to top their great debut with their sophomore project. Paranoid is perhaps the most influential metal record ever as it really defined the sound of the genre as a whole. This is not only considered one of the best metal albums of all time, but it is often cited as one of the greatest albums of any genre of all time. Right off the bat, I was surprised by the classics on this album that I somehow didn't even know were by Black Sabbath. War Pigs, Paranoid and Iron Man are all.
Paranoid (1970) by Black Sabbath. Labels: Vertigo, Warner Bros. Genres: Heavy Metal, Hard Rock Members: Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, Bill Ward. The album was originally supposed to be titled "War Pigs", and the cover art was designed with that title in mind, but the record company objected (presumably due to the Vietnam War), and so it was re-titled "Paranoid". Paranoid" was the last song composed and recorded for the album, at the behest of the producer, who thought they needed an extra track. According to popular belief, the name for doom metal came from the song "Hand of Doom".
Black Sabbath : Paranoid,альбом, рецезия, трек-лист, mp3, тексты песен. Musically, Black Sabbath had definitely evolved somewhat from their title album. The production quality is a little lacking, but that's to be expected from 70s music. Ozzy's vocals are now on the high-end, as opposed to his lower-register "wailing" from the first album. Though he can still make some impressive 'howls' on this album which, to me, is even darker than Black Sabbath's debut album had been. If anything, Bill Ward seems to have gotten even better at drumming than before
Best Black Sabbath album to have ever been recorded! Best lineup of Black Sabbath, by far: Ozzy Osbourne - vocals Tony Iommi - guitar Geezer Butler - bass Bill Ward - drums. Come back to Sabbath, Bill! We all miss you! Heaven and Hell was good, Master of Reality was good and so was Sabbath Bloody Sabbath. But none of them can compare to Paranoid. Their first album with Dio and I have to say, one of their best! Listen to Neon Knights, Children of the Sea, and the title track. I like many of Black Sabbath's albums but I agree this should be first not third. I believe if Dio would have been the original singer, and this album had been released before Ozzy was heard of there would be no question its the best.
