The last great compilation from this series Tantrance . Massimo Vivona : Secret a great track same as for S.U.N. Project : Computer Breathe .
The sound quality here is top notch and we have a fair collection of big names and quality tracks. Element starts the comp off nicely in a lush slower sound-scape. Massimo Vivona follows in the same vein and the Saafi Bros. remix of Koxbox's A Major Problem In Australia continues the flow nicely. Starting with Intact Instinct things shift into the more minimal side of things. However this shift is natural and doesn't break the flow of the comp at all. The first disc finishes off in this vein. Somewhat minimal, but not Digital Structures minimal and still somewhat varied. S.U.N. Project opens up disc too with Computer Breath, a great track that is a bit more spacious and open than some of their guitar driven heavy stuff. Spirallianz comes up next to bring things back into the dark side of things, followed by The Delta's Thing (vinyl edit). When I get into dark psy-trance, this is exactly the kind of stuff I like and Thing is probably just about the darkest song I have ever heard, so its all good as far as I am concerned. Johann Bley brings things a little out of the gloom and a hair more heavy, futhering the progression of the comp while staying within the vibe, without making it all boringly the same. Being a C.O.P. fan Children of Paradise's "Troll" is not new, but still a good hard dancefloor stomper. MOS is dark in a The Delta sense and again nice stuff for this sort of minimal psy. Eternal Basement brings the mood back more in the full on vein before Disco Slickers eventually slows things down to an end with "James Bond Theme". While this comp won't qualify for a classic of the genre, it is a seriously solid comp, especially for fans of the slightly minimal, but still evolving and pounding side of things. There is a wide range of tracks that are all of solid quality and its even two cds to boot. Worth tracking down when you want a comp to introduce you to a decent range of new stuff.
