Of course we can't all be anti-fun, so I'll stick up for the a-side. "Let the music...let the music...let the music just take control" - a great little piano number which received a fair bit of play back in 93 from the likes of Easygroove and Slipmatt. It's not dark, it's not original, but it puts a smile on your face, and that's what it's all about sometimes isn't it?

Man did it take some time to find this tune on eBay!!! I first heard "Demons of the Dark (Part One)" on a Grooverider mixtape in 1994, and was hooked immediately. Only got it on vinyl in September this year.Ignore the A-Side, as it's total cheese. "Demons of the Dark (Part One)" is an epic tune, and perfect DJ-end-of-set piece. And is built upon a 4/4 beat with this odd, metallic sounding breakbeat, which rises and drops in pitch overlapped on top. Along with trademark darkside hardcore, doomey strings, Darth Vader "Give yourself to Darkside" and rudeboy samples ("Beware the demonica", "Dread alert dreadman!"). My only complaint with "Demons of the Dark (Part One)" is that it contains a horrifically cheesey pitched up sample near the end of the record ("Let the love of the light shine through", "Love will set you free"). But I guess there are a lot of excellent tracks, guilty of the same crime.

that'd be "demons of the darkside" and "dread, truly dread man" both from the film Predator 2
