About Definitely Maybe. Definitely Maybe is the debut studio album by the English rock band Oasis. It was an immediate commercial and critical success in the UK, having followed on the heels of singles Supersonic, Shakermaker, and Live Forever. The album, along with Blur’s Parklife, helped to spur a revitalization in British pop music in the mid-nineties and was embraced by critics for its optimistic themes and supposed rebuttal of the downtrodden fatalism evident in the dominant grunge music of the time

Definitely is the fourth studio album by singer Dusty Springfield, recorded and released in the UK in 1968. The songs on this album were chosen because Springfield "liked them", as stated in the liner notes.
Definitely Maybe is a different animal. Loud, brash, and completely devoid of the cleverness that had critics buzzing about Blur’s Parklife a few months earlier, it sounds like it was recorded one drunken afternoon in the back of pub. Nothing could be further from the truth. Oasis cut the entire album twice, and both times, they were unsatisfied with the results. The hero of this story is mix master Owen Morris, who re-recorded some of Liam’s vocals, punched up Tony McCarroll’s thudding drums, and stripped away Noel’s layers upon layers of extraneous guitar overdubs
Big Brother Recordings Ltd. By Len Comaratta. Yes, the band that so many (including myself) loved to hate is 20 years old, and as such, the group’s debut album, Definitely Maybe, is being re-released, complete with demos, live versions, lost tracks, and of course, the original album in all its re-mastered glory. When I say glory, I mean it. I don’t mean to sound facetious or come off as condescending, nor am I trying to pun off the group’s second album.
