Notes

No date is listed for the CD release, just the original LP year .

This pressing has "Made in USA" printed on both discs but other than that it is identical to the German release. It even says on the box the CD's were pressed in West Germany. It seems they only changed this info on the discs themselves.

This album was recorded during five concerts in Peking and Shanghai in October 1981, the first performances of contemporary music ever given in the People's Republic of China. Tracks 1.02, 1.04, 2.01, 2.05, 2.06 and 2.09 were composed especially for this occasion. Mixed at the Ferber Studio on MCI equipment, mastered at Sterling Sound.
