The title track "Alone On Mars?" is a siren-song of mournful synths anchored by a decidedly infectious pulse, pushed forward by snapping percussion and an elastic bassline. Brassy acid lines bloom and build to near-manic heights before being engulfed once more by satisfyingly celestial whooshes and whirrs. Dry, punchy percussion and a straight-shooting bass give "Species" the semblance at first of a straight dance track, but not for long.
