The Future is the second studio album by American R&B group Guy, released in November 13, 1990 on Uptown Records and MCA Records. It would be their last album before their reunion a decade later. The Future had a much darker tone in stark contrast to their debut. Most of it had to do with things going on behind the scenes. A year after the release of their debut album, they fired their manager Gene Griffin - who they claimed allocated funds from the group.
Future (stylized on digital releases as FUTURE) is the eponymous fifth studio album by American rapper Future. It was released on February 17, 2017, by A1 Recordings, Freebandz and Epic Records. The album features production by Metro Boomin, Zaytoven, DJ Khaled, The Beat Bully, Southside, alongside production from other members of 808 Mafia such as DY, Fuse, Tarentino and Tre Pounds. The album was supported by three singles: "Draco", "Mask Off" and "Extra Luv".
But in the hands of its highly influential originators, Guy, it sounds fresh and inspired. Though not as strong as the debut album of 1988, The Future is one of the more appealing - and certainly more authentic - examples of "new jack swing. Lead by the ubiquitous producer/songwriter Teddy Riley, the trio brings a definite urgency to grinding, forceful funk like "Teddy's Jam 2" and "Her," and to such slow jams as "Do Me Right" and "Tease Me Tonight" (both of which recall the Gap Band à la "Outstanding")
Faith in the Future is the second studio album by the American indie rock musician Craig Finn, released on September 11, 2015 on Partisan Records. Regarding the differences between his solo material and his work with the rock-based band The Hold Steady, Craig Finn noted: "From the get-go, when I met with Josh Kaufman, we made this decision to do something more 'age appropriate' with the new album. Something that, as a 44-year old, seemed natural, and also hopefully more elegant and hopeful.
The album had a much darker tone in stark contrast to their debut. A year after the release of their debut album, they fired their manager Gene Griffin- who they claimed allocated funds from the group. This revelation angered all of the members, and particularly infuriated lead singer Aaron Hall- so much so that he didn't sing on half of the album. Hall revealed: As a result, Riley assumed the duties of lead vocals for the remainder of The Future.
